Organic Peruvian Black Maca Powder (Gelatinised)
Black Maca has been consumed by men for ages in central region of the Andes and has been considered as a gift from the gods. Black Maca can adapt the field of its own and can grow in low temperatures, enduring the difficult weather of the Andes. The Inca men recognised its benefits and used it to improve their physical and mental performance.
This organic gelatinised black maca powder is authentic Peruvian and loaded with health benefits. Moreover, the process of gelatinisation has made it more nutrient dense and easily digestible and soluble.
Organic Peruvian Black Maca Powder (Gelatinised)
From Tree to You™
Sourced from Peru
Based on archaeological evidence, Maca originated natively and wildly in the high Andes mountains around Lake Chinchaycocha (a.k.a. Lake Junin) of Peru. Maca normally grows in rocky soils that is inhospitable to most other vegetation. Records indicate that Maca has been used as an adaptogen food by the Peruvians for 1500 years ago now. Our organic black maca powder is gelatinised and made from the roots of black maca sourced from the local farmers of Lake Junin.
What is gelatinised maca?
Gelatinised maca is not a gelatin, it is simply maca from which starch has been carefully removed through a process of gentle heat & pressure. Gelatinised maca is always the better choice as it is easier to digest, soluble in liquids and more nutrient dense per gram of maca powder.
Origin Matters
All maca agriculture in Peru is non-GMO and it is a heritage product of Peru, giving it the protection under Peruvian and international law as such. Studies indicate that maca grown in Peru provides the most potent health benefits.
Adaptogen Superfood
Maca root, like ginseng, is an adaptogen. Adaptogens are substances that raise the body's resistance to diseases through improvements in our physiological and mental health. Maca enables our bodies to balance and revive tired adrenal glands & other aspect of the hormonal system.
Dosage & Usage
Daily dosage of gelatinised black maca root powder is recommended at 3-9 grams (1-3 tsp). Black maca has a sweet, nutty taste with hints of butterscotch and can be easily consumed by blending in a smoothie, shakes, cereal, pancakes, desserts and more.
Benefits of organic black maca powder
Black maca is the rarest form of maca and comprises about 10-15% of the total maca harvest in Peru. Black represents our external energy that strengthens, endures and vitalises. Traditionally, the Incas used it to prevent and improve conditions such as brain fog, fatigue, depression, loss of coordination and strength. Black maca strengthens the male reproductive organs, improves athletic performance and helps in memory function & brain clarity.
