Our organic raw cacao powder is made from organic cacao procured from farmers of the Yanesha Communities of Peru, found in the region of Pasco in Central Amazon. This is the first raw organic cacao powder introduced in India from Peru! The cacao is developed under a Nature Consortium agroforestry system, preparing the fields with organic material, putting seeds of other fruits such as banana, papaya along with cacao.
This pure raw organic cacao powder is made under low-temperature conditions and is unsweetened and non-alkalised.

Experts agree that cacao originated in the tropical Andes foothills in Peru and that the Aztecs made cacao drinks from fermented beans as far back as 1900BC. Our organic raw cacao powder is unsweetened and non-alkalised & made using the traditional Aztec methods, preserving its richness in secondary flavour notes and original nutrient goodness.
Cacao vs Cocoa
Raw (unroasted) cacao powder is the minimally processed cacao bean form whereas cocoa powder is roasted at a much-higher temperature and typically supplemented with additives (alkalizing chemical solution) to cut the bitterness.

Every lot of our cacao powder is tested for heavy metals including Cadmium, Mercury and Lead as per the stringent requirements of FSSAI, USDA and European Commission.

Minimally processed raw organic cacao powder is an abundant source of minerals (magnesium, iron & potassium) and the most sought-after antioxidant called flavanols, which support brain and cardiovascular health. Each serving of 15g of raw cacao powder contains 195mg of flavanols.
